Integrated Fluoro Reflectors give more light and are cheaper to run than normal lights

Climate change is changing the way we think about business.  Companies realise that by implementing a clear strategy it will result in competitive advantages in today’s climate conscious market.  More and more businesses are looking at their emissions and investigating how to reduce their impact on climate change.
At Carbon and Energy Reductions we want to introduce new products that, through greater efficiency, will help our customers  wanting to lower their impact on climate change by providing new and inventive ways to deal with the challenge. Most importantly we can show how this reduction can be achieved whist increasing your profits at the same time.

FLUORESCENT LIGHTING OVERVIEW

With fluorescent lighting being so prevalent, it's easy to take them for granted.  Yet over its lifetime of 20 years, a typical double fluoro fitting in an office will produce around 5 tonnes of greenhouse gas pollution.  That's more than a car produces in one year !
With climate change being one of the most pressing problems facing humanity, the reduction of greenhouse gas pollution can make a dramatic difference in our environment. The majority of scientists agree that climate change is being driven by the burning of fossil fuels.

In Australia, coal is one of the major sources used to generate the electricity to power most lights and it's no wonder that it's also one of the leading sources of Australia's greenhouse pollution. By switching to more energy efficient measures, such as the installation of the CER IFR System, we can help avert potentially damaging climate change by reducing the need to burn so much coal.

Once your building has the IFR System fitted, savings are automatic and definable.  Even without doing any other energy saving strategy, you'll be cutting costs and saving the environment by reducing greenhouse pollution.  Just by switching over to the IFR system, you'll be on your way to making a positive change.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The CER IFR System uses a highly efficient low energy electronic ballast, combined with a reflector system that utilises all available light to where it is required. It then incorporates a state of the art "tri-phosphor" tube that produces a colour index of 85Ra (this means more light and colour  will be picked up by the human eye). Finally the IFR has been specifically designed to be retrofitted thereby making fitting as simple as replacing a normal fluorescent tube. The IFR system simply plugs into your existing fluoro light fitting. Through the use of state of the art technology the old ballast is made dormant while the new generation electronic ballast ensures greater efficiency resulting in greatly reduced costs.

ENERGY EFFICIENCY

The stated energy consumption for a standard fitting (twin 36W T8 fluoro tubes) is 72W per hour. The power factor or energy efficiency for a magnetic ballast is approximately between 0.82-0.87 (this can be lower in some cases).
The stated rating of the IFR system with electronic ballast is 54.8W per hour (twin 27.4W T5 tubes) with an efficiency power factor of 0.99.
The lower the power factor the more energy is required to achieve the wattage.

Example:76 watts per hour x 0.82 =  92.68 watts per hour
The IFR system would result in    27.4 watts per hour x 0.99 =  55.35 watts per hour

LUX (USEABLE LIGHT)

Independent tests have shown the Lux (brightness x m2), as measured in this example at floor level and the fitting at 2.4 meters from the floor, produced from a standard twin flouro fitting is approximately 494. The IFR system produces approximately 510 Lux , See Independent test results

IFR FEATURES

The features of the revolutionary CER Integrated Fluoro Reflector (IFR) Energy Saving System include:
  • With a stated consumption of 55W instead of the 72W in a standard fitting
  • A Power Factor of 0.99 compared to 0.82 giving it an actual energy consumption of   56watts per hour instead of  92watts per hour for a standard twin T8 fitting
  • A lux of approximately 439 for a twin fitting compared to a Lux of 510 for the IFR system
  • Most importantly, the CER system retro fits into a standard twin T8 fitting, so there is no costly rewiring or installation of new housings
  • The IFR is fully portable and can be taken with you when you leave
  • No upfront Cost
  • No Cash flow issues as you will have already received your savings before you make any repayments
BENEFITS
  • Huge Reduction of Energy means huge savings
  • Significant reduction of your company’s current emissions
  • Prepare for future legislation on climate change
  • Start to reduce your impact on climate change today
  • Low cost of IFR means you save both money and energy from the first month
  • No capital expenditure issues
  • No interruption to cash flow as you will have already received your savings before your payments are due.
CUSTOMER SAVING
  • Based on 100 lights used 7/24 hour lights with the energy cost at an average $0.14 cent per kWh
  • There are 100 standard Twin T8 Light housings with an average operating cost of $113.00 per housing per year
  • The IFR system would have an average operating cost of $67
  • This would result in a minimum saving of $46 per fitting per year or $ 3.85 per month
  • This equates to a saving of approximately 40%
LEASE OPTION

Carbon and Energy Reductions has introduced a green lease on behalf of its customers.  These figures are based on the above 100 LIGHTS  X 36 month term.
  • This would equate in monthly lease payment of $2.15
  • The balance would result in $1.70 profit per month per light fitting.
  • 100 x $46.00 savings per year  = $4,600.00
  • 100 x $25.8 repayment per year  = $2,580.00
  • Profit for customer $2,020.00 per year (Over the term of the lease)
Customer profit will significantly increase to over $4,600.00 from the third year due to only the tube replacement being required which is presently being done under your current system. As well as the substantial savings achieved, the reduction of energy will now have a huge impact on meeting any emission reductions required by the upcoming emissions trading scheme.
